Please join us for an in-person general meeting in the Medical City Plano Building III Community Classroom (Room 170 in the office building that's connected to the main hospital by the skybridge). If you haven't attended before, here is what you need to know:
Complimentary dinner begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by age-specific breakout forums. General meeting, announcements, and guest speakers start at 7:30 p.m.
November's topic will be about kids and common winter illnesses. Candace Rich, a nurse practitioner and the owner of healthcaretodaytexas.com, will be at the meeting to talk about prevention, what to watch out for and when to be concerned.
GUEST SPEAKER
Candace Rich is a pediatric nurse practitioner and the founder of Healthcare Today. She also serves as the co-founder and director of operations for Reclaim611, an anti-human trafficking nonprofit. But her favorite title is “Mom.”
With over a decade of experience ranging from primary care to the emergency department, she has seen the needs of our family’s change.
Family’s feel an increased stress to do the right thing for their family and community within the time constraints of school, extra-curricular activities, working remotely and flex working(ish), to quarantine or not quarantine, and what does my kid’s school and daycare require of me?
She has also seen family’s relying on big box telehealth services and getting less than quality care for pediatric patients. That's why she chose to break through the brick and mortar of the modern medicine model to meet people right where they are. She has made it a top priority to create healthcare options people can trust by providing convenient care that doesn’t compromise quality for pediatric patients.
