About UsThe Plano Area Mothers of Multiples (PAMOM) is for parents or Mothers of Multiples (MOMs), as well as expectant MOMs. PAMOM's mission is to provide support to any parent or guardian of multiple-birth children. PAMOM strives to enhance knowledge and understanding of multiples through an exchange of ideas, information and communication between parents, educators, doctors and others. It is a non-profit organization, founded in May 1994 and is affiliated with the Multiples of America, also known as the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs (NOMOTC) and the Texas Mothers of Multiples (TMOM). Multiples of America is made up of over 25,000 members, representing over 400 local support groups nation-wide, and the state chapter, TMOM, offers a scholarship called the Bette Ade Scholarship which provides scholarship awards for higher education. |
PAMOM can’t function without the hard work and dedication of more than two dozen volunteers. These ladies are all busy MOMs, but understand how important PAMOM can be for new and expecting MOMs. They're ready to answer any and all of your questions. |
MEETINGS
PAMOM monthly general meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, 10 months throughout the year. Meetings are held in the Medical City Plano Building III, which is located on the west side of Coit Rd. Meetings take place in the community classroom, Room 170. Medical City Plano Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. with complimentary dinner. The general meeting, announcements, and guest speakers start at 7:30 p.m. It’s not all business! This is also a time to meet other MOMs, relax, and enjoy some food! If you are an expectant or new MOM, and you are thinking about joining PAMOM, please join us to try a meeting. Send an email to vpmembership@pamom.org to let us know you are coming or look for the Board Members in matching shirts on the night of the meeting.
